Stylish Christmas Tree Tips & Decoration

With December fast approaching it can be easy to get your tinsel in a tangle at this time of the year. It really is the busiest month for a lot of people so why not get ahead of the Christmas jingle and start decorating early!

The tree is naturally the focus point in every home during the Christmas Season so I have put together some tips and stylish inspiration for your Christmas tree this year.

Before we get started, do me a favour and Throw away ALL of the tinsel that is hiding in the attic – unless of course you are using it to fuel the fire!

Decide on a Colour Scheme & Stick To It

There are so many colour combinations that will work for the Christmas Season but if your looking for something a little more stylish & festive for your home then choose a specific colour palette for your tree and replicate it throughout your home…

Pick Your Style and Decorate Accordingly

There are so many styles you can choose from so here are a few options and some inspiration for Christmas 2017!

    1) The Geometric Tree

This year I have actually opted for the geometric style. I love the fresh modern touch it gives to a rustic looking tree and I think it adds a sense of sophistication to any room.

    2) Winter Wonderland

There is nothing more festive than a white Christmas and bringing this into the home adds an extra element of excitement. I despise full white artificial trees – I think they can look quite tacky so make sure it is snow frosted or add your own white decorations to enhance the snowy look.

    3) Fabulously Rustic

If you are simply allergic to colour this may be the style for you. You really don’t need much to complete the rustic look. Decorate with Warm yellow lights, Pine cones, Sprigs, Burlap mesh ribbon and some Baubles.

    4) Black and White

A style I never thought I would warm to but having seen some inspiration I really love it. I think if you incorporate enough white into the branches it could balance the black out perfectly.

    5) Simplistic and Minimalistic

There’s a lot to be said for simple and minimal decoration especially if you live a hectic life and want to come home to a serene space. It doesn’t need a lot of attention and is very easy to replicate. Top with warm sparse lights and some white décor.

    6) Classic Green and Red

I think we can all attribute green and red to your standard Christmas colours so why not add a hint of style to your classic look with some pearlescent hints. The pop of red alongside the pearl baubles makes this tree extra special.

That’s it for now – I hope you enjoyed this Christmas Décor post. I would love to see some of your Tree Creations over on Instagram so don’t forget to tag and hashtag #HinspoInteriors so that I take a look.
